Lane Etiquette

The Coach will allocate a lane for you to train in based on your abilities. Accept the Coaches descision.
Always remain concious of where other swimmers are in your lane.
Do not try to overtake someone between the flags and the wall - you risk turning on top of each other
be considerate to a  faster swimmer and allow them to pass safely
Don't stand in the middle of the lane when you have completed your swim!!Remember to move to one side to allow other swimmers behind you to turn or finish correctly.
The most disrespectful and annoying thing to a swimmer is to swim on their feet!! Leave enough time between starts and don't 'go early' to catch the swimmer up in front....Use your warm up time efficiently...it's not a race!
Sort your lane out prior to starting a set.
Don't pull feet!
Don't swim down the middle of a lane if swimmers are coming back the other way.
Show respect to the Coach and listen to what they want you to do. Coaches get very annoyed if they have to repeat the same thing ten times!!
